Animal Names
One of the most common categories of names used for bookstores is animals. From birds and cats to insects and mythical creatures, you'll find bookstores all over the place that settled on an animal name.
About 5.6% of bookstores that are included on the iheartbookstores map contain an animal name. Most prevalent are birds at 26% overall. Within that, owls are particularly popular (22.5%) as well as a diverse group I've called waterfowl (21%).
A surprising second place overall goes to worms, with almost 16%. Dogs and mythical creatures round out the top four at 12% and 8% respectively.
